toe box

You always wanted to know what a toe box actually is? No problem, in our exclusive Dead Stock sneaker dictionary we explain almost all terms of the scene. And if you can't find a term, please send us a message and we will help you immediately! You can find our channels at the end of this post.

The toe box is the front third of the sneaker. Just like the English name suggests, this is the space in the shoe that is intended for the toes. The toe box is often reinforced by a mudguard, which is supposed to protect the sneaker from bad dirt or dirt. A lot of people get annoyed when their toe box begins to wrinkle – but hey, that's part of the game, isn't it?

Depending on the model and especially the manufacturer, the toe box is made of different materials. It can be made of leather, mesh, rubber or even plastic.
