Nike and UNION LA team up to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cortez and pay tribute to cultural diversity in Los Angeles. Subtle yet expressive innovations such as the woven textile bottom layers, heavy suede overlays and rubberized toe are inspired by the lively Angelenos vibe and the rich past that connects this icon to the city. The Crater foam midsole and Nike Grind outsole (both containing at least 10% Nike Grind) offer a new perspective for the modern generation, while the overall look retains its authentic 1972 style.

The Union x Nike Cortez consists of a canvas-like base with suede overlays. Union's UN/LA labels appear on the lateral forefoot, while their Frontman logo is printed on the heels. Co-branded cork insoles on Crater Foam outsoles complete the design.
