Today the Miami Art Week 2022 starts in the city of the same name. Art Week takes place annually in December and is the American edition of the well-known art fair Art Basel. Art Basel has been held annually since 1970 and attracted around 60,000 people last year. Nike and VA Securities have announced a special for this year's Art Week. They want to commemorate designer Virgil Abloh, who passed away last year, with a four-day event. The experience is designed to celebrate the artist's creative legacy, and at its core revolves around the codes he has created, which he himself has used for ingenious initiatives. In addition, the new Off White Nike Air Terra Forma White is to be presented and thus officially seal the next chapter in the collaboration between the two brands.
According to the occasion, the box of the sneaker is specially designed - a real eye-catcher. It is marked "SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX" and depicts fragments of a person both on the outside and on the inside. The sneaker has strikingly high tongues that are decorated with punched holes and abstract patterns. The lower area of the heel is designed in a similar way, but at first glance it doesn't look like the tongue at all. The majority of the upper consists of a synthetic fabric, which is selectively replaced by suede overlays on the collar, the toe box and the mid-panel. The outsole is designed using Inner Space technology and draws attention with its eye-catching spikes.
