After a long time, a new inline colorway will be released with the Nike Cortez Light Orewood Brown. That's why you get all the essential release information about the new Cortez in the post.
In 2022, Nike was more reluctant to release many inline colourways of the Nike Cortez. Of course, strong models could be released with the Union LA Cortez and the Sacai Cortez, but the inline colorways fell by the wayside a bit. That should change for 2023, because two new colourways have been announced for the beginning of February and one of them is the Light Orewood Brown.
The pair that's out now eschews the predominant leather in favor of a hairy suede material on most of the upper. Leather is found around the heel and on the tread swooshes. These elements are kept in brown. Underfoot, the serrated sole, which debuted in 1972, features contrasting orange flair, underscoring the Nike Cortez's autumnal styling. Finally, traction takes on a semi-transparent Sail finish that gives the shoe an aged look.
