As the first official Nike basketball sneaker, the Nike Blazer Mid has played a pivotal role in the brand's history of innovation. The leather silhouette will soon debut in an exclusive women's version that takes performance-oriented design and gives it a fashionable touch. The newly emerged offering of the Swoosh, dubbed Mid Victory, is familiar yet refreshing. While the pair's overall shape and components are consistent with what debuted in the 1970s, the sneaker arguably sits closer to a luxury shoe than an activewear option.

A mix of tumbled and smoother leather covers most of the upper, with profile Swooshes and upper heel panels with bulbous updates. The reinforcements along the tongue and around the forefoot also get a facelift, with the latter area replacing traditional suede with cream-colored leather. Exposed foam tongues also leave their 'barebones' look for something more reminiscent of an expensive pillow, with nearby lace rings adding another touch of class to the Nike Blazer. Finally, herringbone traction is replaced with a curved profile that rounds off the women's sneaker.

When can you buy the Nike sneaker?
