Compared to the reception of the Air Tuned Max's return, news of the Air Kukini's comeback didn't resonate much with most sneakerheads. There are a few vocal and enthusiastic supporters, however, as some have been waiting for a retro silhouette for seven years. Designed by Sean McDowell, who was also responsible for the popular Air Max Plus, the Air Kukini was one of the most interesting sneakers to come out in the early 2000s. Part of the now-defunct Alpha project, the shoe features a laceless construction with a mesh overlay inspired by Olympic skier Picabo Street's speed suit. Here it is TPU overlay in a dark black tone that harmonises perfectly with both the underlying upper material and the sole.

When can I buy the Nike Air Kukini Triple Black in online shops?

Until now, the Kukini with the item number DV0659-001 has only been listed at the Italian retailer One Block Down. However, we assume that a few more sneaker shops will sell the shoe. As soon as the sneakers appear in other online shops, we will of course add them to our release overview.
