With the New Balance 991 Smoked Pearl, a new colourway has been appearing on the NB 991 silhouette for a long time. In this article we have put together all the important release information for you.
In 2022 New Balance celebrates the 40th anniversary of their Flimby factory, which produces much of the de MADE in UK catalogue. To celebrate, New Balance has made limited edition colorways and one of them is the New Balance 991 Smoked Pearl. A donkey jacket, which is one of the staples of British workwear, serves as a source of inspiration.
With a quality you'd expect from New Balance's MADE in UK line-up, this 991's fabric composition is reminiscent of classic British workwear. As well as using premium leather – which wraps the shoe in a dark black from toe to heel – the upper swaps out its mesh panels for Harris Tweed, a slight departure from the Melton Wool originally used for the Donkey Jacket.
