The shoe, which was hinted at in his music video for Laugh Now Cry Later, which also served as a Nike commercial, is made under Drake's NOCTA collection . While the rapper himself hasn't revealed the inspiration behind the model's design, the sneaker's name betrays a certain Nike ACG lineage.

The chunky midsole with Air Max units is coupled with an aggressive outer profile. Partially perforated tumbled leather on the upper follows a layered, curved layout along the profiles reminiscent of 1990s Swoosh designs. NOCTA logos appear on the top of the tongue and on the sockliner, while "G-TEK" branding is featured on the heel tap. G-Tek is an outsole technology that was used in the 1999 Air Terra Humara.
