Awake NY founder Angelo Baque teamed up with ASICS to create the GEL-NYC silhouette. The new silhouette is a mix of archival GEL designs. To be precise, the model is inspired by various influences from traditional and modern performance running styles. The upper is based on the GEL-NIMBUS 3 of the early 2000s with design details of the MC-PLUS V. But not only that, the midsole is also dug out of the archive. It was inspired by the GEL-Cumulus 16. This summer there should be a lot more colourways on the silhouette. We have already reported on some of them here with the ASICS releases. The new Steel Grey comes in a light upper made of white mesh and grey/silver overlays. Small details like the ASICS logo are red. A colourway that goes with everything
When can you buy the ASICS sneaker?
The ASICS GEL-NYC Steel Grey will hit (virtual) shelves on April 7, 2023 at 00:00. In one shop he is already online.
