We reported about it some time ago, but now the Air Max 1 Ironstone is finally coming to selected shops. In this article we have compiled all the important information about the release for you.
Alongside the many Air Force 1 40th anniversary offerings, there are a number of nods to Nike Air itself. Previously, there was a direct tribute to Marion “Frank” Rudy, the founder of cushioning. With the release of the Ironstone, Nike even commemorates Air technology directly.
An embroidered patch is found on the tongue of the shoe, describing the definition, materials and function of the Nike Air. A bright Volt-colored logo sits just below, matching only the branding on the sockliner. On the outside, the Swooshes and Air Max embroidery are finished in a much darker, olive tone that contrasts with the rest of the construction. The mesh and suede parts are white and cream, respectively.
