Sacai Nike Woven Waffle - first pictures

We love the collaboration between Sacai and Nike , you probably know that by now. Yes, some colourways were rather semi, but all in all the collaboration is great. We're still celebrating the first green Nike LD Waffle like we did on day one. The first leaked pictures of the Sacai Nike Woven Waffle make our hearts beat faster again. The fan base of sacai has probably increased tenfold since the debut of the Nike LDWaffle. Completely fair, because that's what a collaboration is supposed to trigger. And the Nike LD Waffle has rightly earned the title "Sneaker of the Year 2019". Sacai, or Chitose Abe, is now a solid partner in the sneaker bubble. We used to think that waffle designs were done by now. But we were wrong and that's kind of a good thing, because the new pictures of the Woven Waffle are very nice.

THIS IS WHAT THE SNEAKER LOOKS LIKE

In the pictures so far, not much of the new silhouette can be seen. However, it seems that the original design of the waffle is further developed with the Woven Waffle. And with a complete patchwork that is reminiscent of the Air Woven. The upper is woven from toe to heel, creating a mesh and leather checkerboard pattern. Even where the Swoosh is usually located, the material is woven. We can't tell from the pictures whether you recognize the Swoosh at all, or whether you do without the Swoosh here, as with the Air Woven. But of course the silhouette comes with details carried over from previous LDWaffles, such as the double tongue and laces. We don't know if there are any other details of the Air Woven on the new Woven Waffle. We are super happy about more pictures, the design is a board.

Unfortunately, there is currently no official information about a release date for the Sacai Nike Woven Waffle. As soon as we know more or have better pictures, we'll update the post immediately.
