The sneaker world is currently eagerly awaiting the return of the Air Max 1 OG Big Bubble 1986 . And Nike uses the time until the release to release one or the other inline sneaker in various colourways. The first pictures of the Nike Air Max 1 The Bay have recently appeared. Currently only in GS sizing. So we still have to wait and see if the sneaker will come in other sizes. All previous information about the shoe can be found here in the article.
The new Nike Air Max 1 comes with a pretty mix of materials and is inspired by the sights and sounds of the West Coast and a fictional road trip. Although we immediately think of sun and sea, the couple is more reminiscent of a polar bear.
THIS IS WHAT THE SNEAKER LOOKS LIKE
The Air Max 1 The Bay does not come with a classic mesh base, but with a canvas upper. In addition, the upper is adorned with smooth leather, nubuck, cracked and drummed leather. All in white. The usual swoosh gives way to a bright red spring, which naturally comes curved like the swoosh. The tongue and the border of the toe box come with white fleece. The lighter shades of gray on the cracked leather are meant to evoke the variety of wildlife you might see on a road trip. There is an interstate hangtag for the sneaker. The insole is printed with a Nike Coast license plate. Quite a nice idea, but overall we find the shoe rather so-so. We are currently looking forward to classic colourways. Like the Mica Green for example.
