Carhartt x Marni - first joint collection coming soon

Just before the start of the new year 2023, the first pictures of the collaboration between Carhartt WIP and Marni have appeared. So we can look forward to exciting designs in the Carhartt stores again this year. All information about the Carhartt x Marni collection can be found here in the article.

By the way, for those who didn't know exactly: Carhartt Work in Progress (WIP) is an extension of Carhartt's main collection. So a reinterpretation of classic pieces. It is often seen as the streetwear sibling of classic clothing. Marni, on the other hand, is an Italian fashion house that became known for its special color compositions and strong colors. Prints with geometric patterns are very typical. The founder of the brand wanted to use the - initially - unconventional fashion to convey to young women that they should dress as they please. Handbags and shoes were later added to the collection and in 2002 a collection for men. Marni also often collapses with Uniqlo.

THIS IS WHAT THE COLLECTION LOOKS LIKE

Creative director Francesco Risso, formerly Prada, has developed a pretty cool and matching collection for both brands with Carhartt.

The central motif is the classic flower by Marni. The flowers are printed on shirts with pockets, bell bottoms, heavy zip hoodies, asymmetric skirt pants, tote bags, bucket hats and even loafers. The central colors are bright green and yellow. The focus is on canvas and corduroy. For those who aren't too into flowers, there is also a range of pieces in the typical Carhartt earth tones. When it comes to parts, Marni has taken a back seat. For this, more neutral colors are put together and sewn together to create a contrast.

Our highlights are the shirts with the typical Marni flowers on canvas. Also the bucket hats and bags. The bell-bottoms are a little too much for us. All in all a super cool collaboration. Because we didn't expect the Carhartt x Marni together.

CARHARTT X MARNI RELEASE

The Carhartt x Marni collection will be available in select boutiques in January 2023. They should probably be available online sooner. Unfortunately, we don't have an exact date ready, especially for the launch in Germany. By the way, the prices of the collection are between 161 and 726 US dollars.
