UNDERCOVER Air Force 1 Low - Released on October 12th

When Undercover, or rather Jun Takahashi, presented their SS22 collection, there were also three Air Force 1 Lows. The design and partly the color selection is inspired by the Nike ACG Air Revaderchi from 1992. The release is now, a little late, on October 12th. All information about the shoe can be found here.

For those who are not familiar with Undercover: Jun Takahashi founded Undercover in 1993. A high fashion streetwear label for men, women and kids. Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo, from Comme des Garcons, later became Takahashi's mentor and persuaded him to come to Paris. Exactly 20 years ago, Undercover made its debut at Paris Fashion Week. Since 2011, Undercover has also been working regularly with Uniqlo. Nike and Takahashi have also been working together for several years. Our favorite example, the reinterpretation of the Nike Daybreak that came in different colourways.

THIS IS WHAT THE SNEAKERS LOOK LIKE

Now three AF1s from Nike and Undercover are hitting the (virtual) shelves. As mentioned at the beginning of the article, the design is inspired by the ACG Air Revaderchi. One AF1 comes in white-on-white, one in black and white and one in the original ACG colourway of gray and magenta. The upper is made of waterproof Gore-Tex, so the classic punched holes in the toe box are missing. The neoprene collar for the ankles and the heel construction comes from the ACG sneaker. Overall a great design that is perfect for fall.
