Adidas really delivered with the ADI2000. The silhouette of the brand with the three stripes is based on iconic skate shoes from the 2000s and hits the ravages of time. A Y2K wave is currently breaking over us, which is gifting us with many almost forgotten, but no less loved pieces. While low-waist jeans may have divided opinions, the chunky sneakers from the period are likely to be much less polarizing. We're really looking forward to the comeback, which reminds us a little of the Osiris brand's shoes. Some of us may remember the authentic skate brand that was founded in California in 1996 and was most recently discussed as part of an ASAP Rocky x Under Armor collab.
The adidas ADI2000 collection has an extensive selection, which currently enriches us with 21 colourways. Adidas once again proves its sense of sustainability and has provided a large number of sneakers with details made from recycled materials. In order not to lose track, we have divided the designs into five categories.
ADIDAS ADI2000 WITH RECYCLED DETAILS
This design, with its twelve different versions, makes up the majority of the collection. The selection couldn't be more different, because it ranges from natural and simple designs to more special models, such as a sneaker that consists exclusively of blue tones. Maybe it's the memories we're reminiscing about, but the ADI2000 Blue / Bold Blue / Bright Blue inevitably reminded us of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears' iconic denim outfit.
As is well known, opposites attract, adidas also follows this motto and manages to unite the optimal mix of past and future in the adidas ADI2000. As with many skate sneakers, this model is also equipped with a particularly robust upper. With the help of various laces, the sneaker can be perfectly attached to the foot without losing its casualness and comfort. The adidas branding on the wide tongue together with the thick midsole completes the look.
Our absolute favorite colorway is the ADI2000 Cloud White / Core Black / Chalk White , which embodies the perfect symbiosis of everyday life and statement thanks to its harmonious color selection. Another highlight is the ADI2000 Glory Purple / Cloud White / Core Black , which is the only model that comes with additional patches. You can easily attach these to the tongue and adapt them individually to your mood or your fit.

THE CHINESE NEW YEAR SPECIAL
On the occasion of the Chinese New Year, adidas has also designed a special colourway. The adidas Adi2000 celebrates the current year of the tiger. We hope to be able to look forward to a sequel soon, ushering in the upcoming Year of the Rabbit.
ADIDAS ADI2000 HELLO KITTY
The cute cartoon cat could not be missing in any teen room and is still an important part of pop culture. The sneaker features red and pink accents and brings the work of Japanese illustrator Yuko Yamaguchi back to stores.
ADIDAS WITH AN EXTRA PORTION OF RETRO VIBE
For all of us who didn't find the previous colorways retro enough, the Semi Solar Green and Energy Ink are just the thing. In addition to their 2000s skate look, the two models were also inspired by the bright colors of the old game consoles.
ADIDAS ADI2000 WITH EXOTIC ACCENTS
Of course, the iconic animal prints should not be missing from a Y2K sneaker. Apparently adidas had the same idea and included four colourways with snakeskin details in their Adi2000 catalogue. These sneakers are also equipped with various recycled materials consisting of processed household waste, textile waste and other leftovers.
WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE COLORWAY?
We hope we were able to make the Adi2000 collection a little clearer for you by subdividing it. Feel free to click through the different models and also check out the other colourways. Our absolute favorites are the Adi2000 Cloud White/Core Black/Chalk White and the ADI2000 Glory Purple/Cloud White/Core Black .
