The Comme des Garçons Homme Plus brand presented its spring/summer 2022 collection in Tokyo on Monday. Rei Kawakubo, the founder of CDG, surprised us with a new Nike collaboration. The CDG x Nike Air Sunder Max definitely makes our hearts beat faster. As always, all information about the shoe can be found here.
Comme des Garçons and Nike have often given us gold pieces. The collaborations between the two brands have always been super nice and we have nothing to complain about with the new silhouette either and are looking forward to the Sunder Max like kids. The model may not be familiar to everyone. The Air Max came out in the '90s and is now only found among the absolute vintage connoisseurs. That's why we're all the more excited about the shoe, because: we definitely never say no to a Sunder Max.
The Sunder Max by CDG appeared on the runway in three colourways: Triple White, Triple Black and White/Black. The upper is all neoprene, standard with a zipper instead of laces. The Sunder Max usually comes with 3M panels, which are not available here. The details of the shoes are definitely kept to a minimum for a stylish, contemporary look. And that's exactly what we think is great. We find a small Swoosh on the upper left zipper and a CDG logo on the zipper and heel.
Of course, there is no release date for the CDG x Nike Air Sunder Max yet. However, since this is an SS22 collection, the shoe will not be available until next spring at the earliest. You can probably only get the shoe directly from CDG or from Dover Street Market. But more on that when we have final information. If you want to have the model, you have to hurry up in any case. Keep an eye on our release calendar or download our free app . You really won't miss anything with our push notifications.
