Supreme Vans Skate Grosso Mid collabo has been canceled

*EDIT: July 11, 2022. *: On Thursday, July 7, some have certainly searched in vain for the three Supreme Vans Skate Grosso Mid colorways. Supreme has removed all info about the shoes before the release, now we know why we haven't found anything more about them. While there is no official statement from Supreme and Nate Lowman, the reasons for the withdrawal seem pretty obvious. Designed by Nate Lowman, the Vans are "decorated" with bullet holes. Which, given the ongoing problem of gun violence in the U.S., turns out to be pretty disrespectful. The vans would have been launched three days after the horrific events of July 4th. For those who have not noticed: Over 200 people were killed with guns on the 4th of July public holiday. The media have already addressed that the release seems distasteful in the current time, because day by day mass shootings are increasing in the USA. We do not yet know whether the shoes will be released at some point.

What surprises us is that we can't find any news about the collaboration on Supreme's site. Did we miss something there? We'll know tomorrow at 5pm. We keep our fingers crossed for ourselves.

The collection comes with three colors: red, black and white. Each pair is littered with bullet holes as graphics. They were made by the artist Nate Lowman. That's why there are co-branded logos on the tongue and extra tags.
