EDIT: The Air Max 1 Tour Yellow is now confirmed. Here you can find the shoe in our calendar.
As we reported earlier this year, Nike is launching some new colourways on the Air Max 1 this year. The reason for this is the 35th anniversary of the silhouette. After the collaborations with Travis Scott and Patta generated such a big hype about the model, it was only a matter of time before Nike released more “normal” colorways. In our opinion, the Nike Air Max 1 Yellow is perfect for summer and uses the look of the OG models.
As already announced here in the article, the yellow colourway is one of the new colourways for the 35th birthday of the Air Max 1. The sneaker is based on the OG Air Max 1 model from 1987, but the yellow colourway is new and a real eye-catcher. We love the colourway because it gives the classic silhouette a fresh look. Let's take a closer look.
THIS IS WHAT THE SNEAKER LOOKS LIKE
Just like the OG models, the yellow can be found in some parts of the upper. The Nike Swooshes are yellow, as are the “Air tags”. The OG color blocking, as we know it from Jordan models, is picked up here by combining yellow and white. The upper consists of different materials. The base of the shoe comes with white mesh and leather overlays in yellow and white. The sole of the sneaker is completely gray, except for the Air-Max cushioning, which picks up the bright yellow again. The colourway is kept very simple, but that's what makes the shoe so attractive.
