Jacquemus Nike Humara - Release on June 28th

Nike x Jacques. We saw it coming after the Hawaii shoot, where the models wore Nike shoes. After a long wait and many rumours, Jaquemus himself publicly announced the collaboration on May 16th. Initially, only moodboards of the collaboration were published. Light Tones, Earth, Sport, Mini Swoosh, ACG. If you think about it for a moment, we could have immediately thought of ACG influences. But we were still too distracted by the Hawaii shoot and thought more about Nike Shox. Anyway, on June 15th he showed his Humaras. The theme makes sense and suits Simon perfectly. Let's take a closer look at the shoes, there aren't really any pictures of the collection yet.

THIS IS WHAT THE SNEAKERS LOOK LIKE

Jaquemus took his favorite Nike shoe as a model for the collaboration. Namely the Nike Air Humara. Sounds great at first. Of course, the silhouette doesn't come in its usual form. He looks classier. A lot of leather was processed, suede and smooth leather. The golden mini Swoosh is the highlight. Take a look at the pictures for yourself. We have mixed feelings. We love Simon Porte Jacquemus and were really looking forward to the collection. However, we are a little underwhelmed. While we think the shoes can look cool when worn, we're more excited for the apparel collection now. Maybe there will be something for us in the next collaboration.

This is what Jaquemus himself said about the collection: “For this collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women's sportswear in a minimal way. I've always been inspired by vintage ACG pieces and Nike campaigns from the '90s. With this imagery in mind, we designed women's sportswear with sensual details and neutral colors, along with my own take on the Humara, my favorite Nike shoe. It was important that the collection fit all bodies and was a natural blend of Jacquemus style and Nike performance." We love you
