Mock-ups and on-feets of the upcoming Air Max 1 series by Travis Scott have been circulating for ages. Then, on November 5, 2021, ten people died at La Flame's Astroworld Festival. After the tragic events, Travis Scott was vilified by both the media and fans, and the brands that actually collaborated with Travis (Nike, Dior, etc.) quickly broke with him. Nike postponed the releases, Air Max 1 and the Air Trainer, initially only indefinitely. Now the time has come: Two colourways (Baroque Brown, Saturn Gold) of the Nike Air Max 1 Travis Scott and the Nike Air Trainer are scheduled to come out on May 20th.
Travis Scott has lost a lot of supporters and unfortunately rightly so. We are still commemorating the families of the young victims and cannot believe how this can happen. However, it remains our job to continue to announce the collaborations of La Flame neutrally and we do that too. Now that the waves around Travis Scott are smoothing out, we are curious how the demand will behave.
THIS IS WHAT THE FIRST TWO COLOURWAYS LOOK LIKE
As mentioned in previous posts, the entire Air Max range comes in muted colors. The first two colourways are called Baroque Brown and Saturn Gold. The upper of both colors comes in a mix of leather and mesh. The lace part is reminiscent of an outdoor shoe, mostly because the laces themselves are round. The Swoosh is reversed as usual. On the heel we find a Nike logo on the left and a Cactus Jack logo on the right. The sole of both colourways comes in a yellow tone with a vintage look. Overall, we think the implementation is great and were really looking forward to the series. At the moment we can't say whether we really want to wear the shoe anymore. Our favorite is the Baroque Brown.
AIR MAX 1 LA FLAME RELEASE DATE
Both colourways of the Nike Air Max 1 Travis Scott are coming to TravisScott.com on May 20th and your favorite stores and the SNKRS app on May 27th. Just check the release calendar. Here you can find the release for the brown and here for the golden Air Max. Or check our free app for more information. We keep our fingers crossed for everyone who is really up for the release. We think the Air Max from La Flame is great, but we won't go for it this time.
