Nike Dunk Low Homer - first pictures

Nike Dunks often come in colourways that we can immediately color-code without Nike ever even mentioning the inspiration itself. An example of this is the Nike SB Dunk Low Barcelona . Then a while ago pictures came of a dunk low that looks like Bart Simpson . So it's not surprising that we also found pictures of the Nike Dunk Low Homer. Even if Nike would never officially call the shoe like that.

The Simpsons family has often inspired Nike . There was a Marge SB Dunk in 2008, then the new pictures of the Nike SB Dunk Low Bart Simpson that is yet to come and there was also a Homer SB Dunk in 2004. Though we think the new dunk low looks a lot more homer than the first.

THIS IS WHAT THE DUNK LOW HOMER LOOKS LIKE

The Simpsons have been openly featured by a number of brands. Some may still remember the Vans models or the collaboration with adidas last year. But let's be honest: the designs are usually just too playful and too much. Nike subtly avoids the official collaboration by only using the characters as role models for the colourways. And yet we clearly call the shoes by their "hidden" names. Clever.

Same with the homer dunk . Totally subtle design, with no official Simpsons attribution. The shoe comes in yellow, white and light blue. We all know, of course, that Homer always wears a white shirt and blue pants. The shoe is an absolute homage to him and he deserves it. We are really looking forward to the release.
