The New Balance 550 have been with us again since 2020. And the career of the last two years has been steep. Actually, she wasn't, she still is. Almost every colourway is sold out immediately. Nothing has changed about that either over the last two years. In order to generate even more momentum in demand, there will soon be three new colorways from the Aime Leon Dore New Balance 550. All information about the release can be found here.
Teddy Santis , or Aime Leon Dore , has done quite a bit to make the New Balance 550 so popular again. In 2020 they dug up the 1989 model and made the first collab with two colourways. Since then, the model has clearly been the current retro highlight on very different feet. Now there are three more colourways from the New York brand and the sneaker brand from Boston. First of all, we can definitely say that it will be incredibly difficult to get a colourway of it again this time.
The 550 silhouette is perfect as a beater and suits a variety of styles. So it's not surprising that everyone wants a 550 at the moment. Above all, the designs from ALD are so easy that they really go with everything and the choice of colors is terrific. The first two colourways came in yellow-green and navy-red. This was followed by the three colourways on the low models with navy, dark green and light grey. In the second round we get brown, khaki green and something like eggplant. Each pair comes with a premium off-white leather upper and a lightly yellowed midsole. On the heel and tongue are ALD and New Balance logos. We love the new colors and look forward to the release.
