The news of a new shoe from Tom Sachs sent us into shock. A new Mars Yard? Is the model coming that was worn by a small bunch of people for ages and then sent back? No, unfortunately not. So far there have been three Mars Yard models and one that is still being tested and rocked at the "RARE EARTHS" exhibition in Hamburg. The General Purpose is now Sachs' fourth shoe. And that too is something to be proud of.

There is not yet any official information about the design and inspiration for the botte. But people agree, the General Purpose closely resembles the Nike Killshot. The upper comes in sail mesh paired with gray suede overlays and blue tongue and heel pull tabs. We already know them in red from the Mars Yard. There is Tom Sachs branding behind the tongue and the NikeCraft logo on the sockliner and outsole. Overall not quite as exciting a shoe as the Mars Yard, but we like it nonetheless.

When exactly the Tom Sachs Nikecraft General Purpose should come is currently not clear. We're also excited to see how hard the shoe will be to obtain.
