Somehow everyone knows the paisley pattern. But where does that come from anyway? We researched that. In fact, the classic pattern comes from Persia and is called "Boteh". It is supposed to represent the sprout of the date palm, which is essential for survival. With a short detour via India, the pattern was then brought to Scotland by British soldiers and was able to inspire many there.
