Salehe Bembury x New Balance 2002r Water – new colourway

The collaboration between footwear designer Salehe Bembury and New Balance caused a lot of excitement last November. The resell prices rose rapidly shortly after the release. Everyone who went empty-handed last November is sure to be looking forward to the new colourway. The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 2002r Water is coming soon. As always, all information is available here.

For those who don't know Salehe Bembury, he's currently the vice president of men's footwear and sneakers at Versace and recently assisted Kanye West with designs for Yeezy Gap .

The first colourway was inspired by the Grand Canyon , with the second Bembury also copied colors and details from nature. As the name suggests, this time it's not about a specific location, but our greatest desire: water. The colourway is accordingly mostly turquoise. Further details in rich light and dark green and delicate beige are reminiscent of wood and the forest. Like the last model, Bembury uses a wide mix of materials: suede, “crocheted” mesh and smooth leather. All in all, an elaborate and very wearable implementation, even if it might be too colorful for some. We love it.

There is currently no official release date, despite a teaser from Salehe Bembury himself. But we reckon the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 2002r Water will be out in the next few months. If you want the shoe, you'll have to hurry up for sure. The price will certainly be around 150 euros again. Monitor our release calendar , or better yet, our free app .
