One of the classics in Air Max history is back! All information now in this post!
Last year, persistent rumors persisted that Dave's Quality Meat (DQM)'s iconic Nike Air Max 90 Bacon would be making a return for Air Max Day. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, but the model has been confirmed for this year's festivities and is scheduled to be released by Nike on March 26th.
The OG of the Air Max 90 Bacon made its debut in 2004 and has been one of the classics in the much-mentioned Air Max history ever since. The story goes that Dave Ortiz landed on the Air Max color palette after thinking about what his collaboration with the Swoosh might look like for three or four months. Two nights before the deadline, the boutique owner had a bang, which took him to his local bodega to order bacon, egg, and cheese. And since veganism wasn't as popular in 2004 as it is today, it probably made sense that everyone who loves bacon would love his shoe, too.
And he was right, because to this day the Air Max 90 Bacon is probably one of the most popular 90s out there and is making a meaty comeback as the “Prime Cut” on March 26th!
Here are the first pics of the 90's AM Bacon re-release. Will the shoe also come in the packaging for the release? Would be cool, right?
