Grateful Dead Bears Dunk – Teaser

Nike SB brings the plush Grateful Dead Bears Dunk.

Nike SB is rumored to be releasing a Dunk low as a tribute to the Grateful Dead Bears shortly. If you are not familiar with the little bears, here is a small digression:

First appearing on the back cover of the 1973 album History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One (Bear's Choice) , the stylized dancing bears have come to symbolize the US rock band (Grateful Dead) and their idiosyncratic fan base. Even today, the merch, such as plush toys or car stickers, is hotly traded among collectors.

The dunk low is an interpretation of the dancing bears as such. This is made clear by the plush upper and jagged Swoosh branding inspired by bears' collars. There's a small pocket hidden behind the tongue, meant to cater to the Deadheads' psychedelic lifestyle. What could that possibly be?!

According to rumours, the Grateful Dead Bears Homage, similar to the “Three Bears” release from 2006, will be released as a pack consisting of three colourways.

There is currently no confirmed release date, but we will continue to follow the story for you.
