Incorrectly known to most of us as the Protection Pack, the Refined Future Pack made its debut in 2021 on New Balance's 2002R silhouette. Since then, it has been one of New Balance's most popular models and is eagerly awaited. New Balance decided to apply the pre-distressed design to the 1906 silhouette. Can the 1906 model become New Balance's new hype sneaker?

The 1906DB Beige marks the beginning of the 4 comprehensive series. Basically, the designs remain true to the vision of designer Yue Wu. Hairy suede panels sit atop breathable mesh base layers, styled here in beige, for an arrangement that's equal parts lifestyle and performance. The Profil N logos add some contrast to the otherwise tonal uppers, as do the 1906" logos on the lateral heel. Underfoot, the 1906R wants to score with the sole unit of the 860v2 and dresses it in black. Exactly the same sole can also be found in the 2002R. Combined, this gives the perfect distressed look that comes perfectly on a sporty model.
