The Ten: Nike Off White

The collaboration with Virgil Abloh’s brand was Nike’s most successful concept in recent years. The current creative director of Louis Vuitton created a huge hype with his “The Ten” collection, which included a whole 10 styles in the first drop. Few which to get. The Jordan 1 Chicago x Off-White quickly became the Grail for many and could only be bought in the resell for several thousand euros. The other revamped classics were also quickly sold-out everywhere, causing sneakerheads to travel to the nearest metropolis to pick up their pair. In the beginning, sneakers with Off-White could only be purchased in the few key cities. Later, the distribution was expanded and tier-0 stores like BSTN were added. So fortunately, with the more recent releases, there was a bit more of a chance to buy one of the coveted sneakers from Nike and Off White.

What styles are available from Nike x Off White?

Air Force 1 x Off-White

Nike’s Air Force 1 is considered one of the most classic styles and is apparently also one of Virgil Abloh’s favorite pairs. A total of five different versions were released, with the last two colorways in black/white and neon yellow dropping on the same day. Otherwise, the AF1 x Off-White appeared in all-white and white or black with silver Swoosh.

Air Jordan 1 x Off-White

Virgil got the great honor to venture on the Air Jordan 1. The concept here was to bring the inside out. Most of the sneaker was now made of mesh and the details were only applied to individual points, giving the sneaker a deconstructed look. The Jordan 1 x Off-White was available in the iconic Chicago and UNC colorways as well as a white colorway with colored accents.

Nike Air Presto x Off-White

Another classic that enjoyed the highest popularity at the release of The Ten was the Air Presto. This came out in a total of three colorways and was each time difficult to buy. So far, the colors have not been used to their full potential, but that is not out of the question for the future. We are curious whether the world will see another Nike Presto.

Nike Air Vapormax x Off-White

Similar to the Presto, the Vapormax was also released with Off-White in a total of three colorways. The color palette is also composed of black and white tones. When the first colorway was shown, everyone wanted to buy a Nike x Off-White Vapormax. It was the first to come with a black non-transparent sole and had an exaggerated retro-look tongue.

Nike Air Max 90 x Off-White

In addition to the latest Air Max, Off-White also captured a past style of the franchise and launched an Air Max 90. Funnily enough, this classic by Ticker Hatfield was one of the less popular sneakers from The Ten and came in dark tones in addition to the first bright colorway. “Less popular” should not be misunderstood here, though: The Nike Air Max 90 still sold out in minutes and was still harder to get than most releases. The resell price was kept within limits here, though.

Nike React Hyperdunk 2017 x Off-White

The only style that only saw one release was the, React Hyperdunk 2017, a basketball performance model. Although the sneaker did not quite arrive in the lifestyle, it provided on-court flex in the NBA.

Nike Mercurial Vapor 360 x Off-White

Another performance model that got the Off-White treatment was the Mercurial Vapor 360. The soccer shoe came in a neon orange upper with colored dots and Off-White’s signature lettering.

Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial x Off-White

The flashy colorway from the above Mercurial also looked good on the Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial. The Flyknit sneaker came out last March and is one of the more affordable styles from the Off-White drops. There is the Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial in orange for around 250 Euros, while you can buy the black Zoom Fly Mercurial for 314 Euros.

Nike Zoom Fly x Off-White

Before the Fly Mercurial arrived, the Zoom Fly appeared in its OG version with a synthetic upper that allowed you to see the socks. Off the first pair, which came mostly in white, served almost like a blank canvas to which you could add nuance with your sock choice. The Nike Zoom Fly x Off-White came in a total of three colorways, with the pink one starting at 200 Euros on Stockx.

Nike Air Max 97 x Off-White

After we have already talked about the Air Force 1, Jordan 1 etc, we now come to another classic that shone in new splendor through Virgil Abloh. The Air Max 97 not only works in its OG colorways, but was also in the version of OW and was immediately sold out. In total, there are four colorways of the Air Max 97. In addition to the two standard looks in white/black, you can also buy the 90 in “Menta” or “Elemental Rose.” The latter also got the nickname “Queen”, as the collection was inspired by tennis superstar Serena Williams and also worn by her.

Nike Blazer x Off-White

Nike’s Blazer made a comeback several years ago, but was somewhat forgotten. When it came back as part of The Ten, it saw a bit of a revival. In the reinterpretation, the Swoosh was enlarged and pulled down to the midsole. As with the Air Jordan 1, the mesh material that normally makes up the lining was chosen as the upper. After a white colorway with black Swoosh came the Spooky Pack with the “Grim Reader” and the “All Hollow’s Eve” on October 03, 2018.

Converse Chuck Taylor x Off-White

Even though the Chuck is not exactly a Nike, Off-White was able to choose it for The Ten due to the affiliation of Converse and the Swoosh. You could buy all three Converse x Off-White Chuck Taylor All Star Hi on converse.com and at tier-0 retailers. While the first one continued the concept of The Ten drop and came with a milky, almost transparent upper, the second one carried in the design language. The sole of the 70s had diagonal black stripes, while the upper remained white.

Fun fact, due to the recall of the original pairs, the first Converse Chuck Taylor x Off-White could not be purchased until a later date.

Are there any more releases coming from Nike Off-White?

After many different styles, colorways and matching apparel have already been threatened by Nike, we can’t imagine that there won’t be any sneakers with OW coming in 2023. Where and when you can buy the next releases from Nike and Off-White, you can find on this page.
