Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 Dusty Sage - first look

Mock-ups of the upcoming Air Max 1 series by Travis Scott have been circulating for a long time. Then there was an incredibly difficult to recognize on-feet. Again, Nike knows exactly how to tease the bots to really get maximum attention. We now have the first unofficial pictures of the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 Dusty Sage. On November 5th, nine people died in the crowd at the Astroworld Festival and an incredible number were seriously injured. We don't actually want to address this catastrophe at all. It's horrifying, and both Travis and the organizers need to do more than just make a statement. In order to build the disgusting bridge back to the shoe, we ask ourselves whether the whole teasing of the new Air Max 1 series will perhaps no longer convince some Travis fans. The rapper has certainly lost a lot of supporters and unfortunately rightly so. We commemorate the families of the victims and cannot believe how something like this could have happened. However, our job at this point is to continue to announce the shoe neutrally, and that's what we do. Whether the new releases go through the roof like usual is then in the invisible hand of the sneaker world.

We have the first pictures from the “Dusty Sage”. As already suspected, the whole series comes in muted colors. The upper comes in a mix of leather and mesh in light grey, taupe, beige and black accents. As you can see from Travis' on-feets, the lace construction differs from the mock-ups. The lace part is more reminiscent of an outdoor shoe, mainly because the laces themselves are round. The Swoosh is reversed as usual. On the heel we find a Nike logo on the left and a Cactus Jack logo on the right. The sole is completely black. We think it's basically good, but such a sole is difficult to combine. Overall, we think the implementation is great and were really looking forward to the series. At the moment we can't say that we really want to wear the shoe anymore.

We don't yet know when the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 Dusty Sage will be released. We're curious to see if Nike pushes the release further back in the hope that things will calm down.
