Jordan 8 Rui Hachimura - first pictures

The Japanese basketball player Rui Hachimura has not yet been on the court in the new NBA season, but he is sure of a contract with the Jordan Brand . Rui Hachimura is 23 years old and was drafted by the Washington Wizards two years ago. Since then, he has established himself as the face of the future for the NBA. Of course, the Jordan Brand noticed that too and signed him directly. Hachimura was born in Japan and therefore brings some of his cultural influences to the new retro Air Jordan .

The colourway comes with a mix of perforated and non-perforated suede combined with smooth synthetic leather throughout the upper. The color of the whole thing is beige. Aged look overlays over some parts of the shoe and along the tongue give the whole thing an aged, heritage look. Japanese-style Hachimura "H" logo replaces Jumpman branding at tongue top. The box of the Jordan 8 has also been revised. The classic paper has even been replaced by tissue paper. The box shows Hachimura winning the ball from two other players. All in all a very cool implementation, but we are not the biggest fans of the Jordan 8. But you can definitely make an exception with the design.
